    need help on a MOBO

I got a question today from someone about a Intel motherboard. I am not Intel savvy at all.

    What the person wants:

    cpu chip intel 950 1366
will be using triple channel dominator GT ram at 1600 6 gigs
    GFX evga GTX470 - 2 of them
    xfi sound card.
everything will be water cooled - (bridge, gfx, cpu, ram) WC'er will be a custom built unit, she will make herself.

    wants in a mobo:
    pci-e 4 four slots * can be 3
must have at least 1 pci slot * a must
built in bluetooth * a must
dual LAN connections *this is a must
    x58 * a must
6.0 gb sata connection - at least one and at least five 3.0 sata on board connections. six would be perfect for a total of seven

Would like to go with EVGA or ASUS

    budget $700 for the MOBO

wow that sounds like the exact same setup I have now for my computer setup except I went with a gigabyte X58A-UDR3 Rev2 board ( 3x PCI Express x16).

Yes it must have the bluetooth adapter on the motherboard. She doesn't want a USB dongle. The rampage is the board she was looking at but it didnt have dual LAN(s). I may tell here to contact someone that could add an extra LAN to the circuitry. Not sure if or how that would work on adding another LAN.

Doesnt the Rampage III Extreme have the following:

    Intel ICH10R controller
    6 xSATA 3.0 Gb/s ports
Intel Matrix Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10
JMicron® JMB363 PATA and SATA controller
    1 xExternal SATA 3.0 Gb/s port (SATA On-the-Go)
    1 xSATA 3.0 Gb/s port
    Marvell® 9128 PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller
    2 xSATA 6.0 Gb/s ports

Just missing the Dual Gigabit.. but if you're spending that kind of money .. just add a VisionTek Bigfoot Killer 2100 Gaming Network Card for your primary. and use the integrated nic for whatever you need it for.

I spoke with her tonight. She ordered the rampage III extreme.

She was looking to hard wire the laptop to the PC case for synchronizing at night -reason for the dual lans. I told her to get a router to do that way or a USB transfer cable.

looks like its resolved. Thank you for the help, as I wasnt sure if they had what she wanted.

last question: anyone heard of a release date on the rampage IV extreme? OR was the crosshair IV the rampage IV
