i'm from australia, max depth in harbours is under 30 metres, i'm gonna use the fish finder on a pier and boat thats why it needs to be portable, i was thinking of getting the EAGLE cuda 300 portable, its $200 AUD might get it tomorrow after school

Old school fishing is the best/fun way to do it. No need technology, let luck lead your fun.

Dynamite is the most fun. Probably the most energy efficient as well. If done correctly, the dynamite explodes, kills and cooks the fish, and blows it out of the water right onto your plate all in one quick-smooth operation.

Hmm report back i would love to know what you can catch just off the pier, this weekend i might head out fishing (new zealander) if the weather is good.

Whats fishing like in aussie over winter? I do know here that during winter theirs a ton of crays love having a fresh cray for breakfast but the snappers seem to stick out deep round 50-80 metres.
