    Intel Quad-core

OK so I was thinking of building a new computer this spring, but is going to be pushed back a bit.....I just upgraded my MB, Video Card, and ram for my lga 775 Daul-core processor ....overclocked to 3.6ghz! Now I was thinking of using this new stuff but upgrading my processor to a q8300 quad-core for my lga 775 MB, my question is I guess is there a better quad-core(lga 775) for my MB that I could buy or is the q8300 gonna be fine....overclocked (3.6ghz) of course?

    thanks,

    j

    I am running a Q9550 on a Asus Maximus ii Formula , 4.02Ghz 24/7 no probs.
The worst part is it has halved in price form the original 430 to 219 since i bought it.
I guess it becomes a case of dollars verus need.
Do you want stock or clocked.
Stock you could do a Q6600 , Clocked i found the Q9550 very stable.
This will always vary given the individual , l/cool or Air/cool.

The Best one to OC, my pent D 915 daul-core is OC'd to 3.6 on stock cooler, but only score a 5.1 on W7 cause of the processor everything esle on computer is scored at 6.5-7.0
