No idea why, it just disconnected and won't even read that there are networks. It usually shows mine and all my neighbors, and it shows none .
..I deal with this stuff day in and day out with some of my DSL customers. Quickest way to fix is to do a System Restore back to when you saw it working. That's the quickest way to fix...drivers should be OK "021" unless he made some changes....OR...there were changes made to his wireless router.
It could be a driver issue as Galv stated.
I've also seen instances where the card transmitter gets turned off in your settings.
It also could be that the actual card has failed. This happened to me a couple of years ago. I bought a new card and took care of my problem.
Since I believe that this is your new laptop, the best course of action would be to call support and have them determine what the issue is. If it is a failed network card, then they will send you a replacement.
