    New Laptop for College

I am trying to decide on a what laptop I should get for college. I really wanted one of new Macbook Pros because the GPU is actually not bad and they can handle BF3 and such. I would also put windows on it, and the battery life on macs are pretty good. Although, they are extremely pricy for the hardware you are getting, so maybe someone can help me out on this one.

My only requirement is that its only between 15"-16".

Can you link me online or something or a link to the laptop on the BestBuy website, I probably can get a better deal online though BestBuy is not typically the best buy, no offense.

I use the one i bought from best buy everyday. I got it from graduation for like $580. Dual core, 4gb ram and a nice video card (this was 3/4yrs ago).

Here is a decent one for school and some games, not for Bf3 though:
    $429

This one is a little better but has a slower CPU:

These are just some, browser the HP section and you can search for more.

I couldn't see trying to play BF3 on a laptop and especially with BO2 and MOH2 around the corner. The heat build up would be murder. For $800 you could build a desk top to run all these games and then spend $400 for an acer laptop for work. Don't knock acer they are pretty good

I don't have the option to get a desktop therefore a laptop will have to be sufficient enough for me to game a little too, if I can reach 1080P and have a mouse ill be fine

I gave up my desktop a while ago and went for a laptop but sold it as i need a new car.
I bought a Dell XPS L502X. Honestly the best laptop i've used.
    i7 2670QM, 8Gb ram, 15.6" 1920x1080 B+RG LED. Nvidia 540M 2GB, 750GB 7200rpm HDD
the best speakers on a laptop i've ever heard.

I know what people think about dell but this laptop was brilliant. I bought it from the Dell outlet for 640.
It was described as few light scratches but when i recieved it was immaculate. Not a single mark on it, brand new. So it'd definitely be worth checking out the dell outlet for major discounts.

    Same laptop, different specs: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/lapto...dell-xps-l502x

Just remember if you go with a Mac there aren't many games that will play on it and the cheats aren't coded to work on them either if I'm not mistaken
