    Wireless USB Adapters ?

So i recently got fibre optic in my house and its schweeeeeeeet
on my wired connection im getting my max speed i pay for which is 30Mbps
but upstairs on my Linksys wusb100 im only getting 20Mbps.

I like to download a lot of things so its quite important for me to get the best speeds i can without having to wire my whole house and i cant afford to move my rig downstairs.

So can any of you guys recommend some powerful wireless adapters you think may boost my speeds up, think my wusb100 is on its way out.

    Cheers guys

I would stay away from USB dongles and use a PCI-e or PCI with a dipole antenna with a db greater than 8

you could also add repeater for the downstairs. A repeater can cost around $50 or if you have another wireless router use it as a repeater

This is what a member of the family uses and it worked very well. But we have a repeater so no matter where in the house it is always 100%

remember, you will always get the most performance from wired. with wireless you will have lag spikes and reboots. some routers more often than others. The router we have had the best results with are buffalo airstation.

I've got a Asus M5A99X EVO board with crossfire HD6870's

I got one of these before and it wouldn't fit in because of the crossfire
so i cant get another one similar to that.

but one of the smaller size ones might be able to fit in between them both then if my problems still persist i will go ahead and see if i can get an antenna and i still have my old router knocking about so ill give that ago tommorow.

Cheers for the advice buddy ! :P
